Jellyfish Cat Crochet Pattern

Jellyfish Cat Crochet Pattern Amigurumi

This was a request! The request was to make a jellyfish cat go with the jellyfish that I made her possibly years ago. I’m not sure if there is a jellyfish cat crochet pattern out there nor did I dare to look. Why? Cause I can create my own pattern of course. I love writing my own patterns and watching my creation come to life. This is a very easy and simple pattern to do! It doesn’t require too much yarn. You can make this pattern smaller or bigger depending on what you want to do. I went with small/medium size.

Assembly

  • Staring with the eyes apply them at row -insert here- and -insert here- spaces apart.
  • Next, I added a little cute cat nose and mouth at -insert here- row. You can get creative if you would like too. I was going to just add a smiley face though it didn’t seem like a cat to be doing that. Here is a closer look.

  • With the tentacles and bottom panel sew the tentacles on. What I like to do is pull both strings thru the bottom panel and triple knot them tightly. You can sew them afterward or simply leave them knotted. Typically I leave mine knotted and cut off the extra string. Here’s a closer look at the tentacles.

  • If you want your jellyfish cat to hang make sure to cut off a decent amount of yarn you like. I didn’t really measure mine out. I tend to go by what feels best. With your string Sew both ends towards the top. I typically have my string coming out from -insert here- rows.

  • Time to attach the bottom panel to the body! Now, if you want to attach the cat ears before closing the bottom panel please skip down below and return to this part. I closed the panel first since it was easier for me to attach the ears. Stuff the body as much as you can! Align the bottom panel towards the jellyfish cat body. With the long tail from bottom panel and body, I like to weave in and out around until the string is small.
  • Lastly, we have the ears! With your felt cut your cats ears into a little triangle. Sew the felt onto the cat ears. After sewing the felt onto the ears I tend to close the bottom fo the cats ears. I placed my cat’s ears at -insert here- row and -insert here- many spaces apart. Here’s a closer picture of the ears.Jellyfish Cat Crochet Pattern Amigurumi
