Today is national hemp day! I have a lot of hemp strings along with charms laying around, so I have decided to create a pattern for today’s national day a hemp bracelet crochet pattern. I plan on making more hemp jewelry and posting more crochet pattern. So keep on the future look out! If you’re looking for another hemp crochet project check out my baby rattle patterns here.
Side note: This bracelet was a bit big for my wrist. My wrist is a size 6-6 1/2″ to achieve the same amount of beads and charms I advise using a smaller hook size until you achieve the proper size.
If you want to save this project to Raverly head on over here.
There is no ad-free pattern.
- 3.75 mm crochet hook
- Hemp Cord
- 5 different beads
- 4 charms
- 20 small different beads
- Wooden button
- Crochet Needle
- SL ST: Slip Stitch
- CH: Chain
- SC: Single Crochet
- ST: Stitch
- F/O: Fasten Off
First you want to determine how you want your layout to be. I did a rough draft of what I wanted my bracelet to look like.
Next, with the hemp and glue, you want to apply a bit of glue at the end of hemp. This is very important! If you do not this the hemp will tatter. Allow the glue to try. I gave mine about roughly 10 to 15 minutes to dry.
Once the glue has fully dry apply your charm in the order you planned.
Now make your sl st how you normally would.
Finished Size: 7 1/2″ to 8″
- To achieve the right size with the same amount of beads and charms use a smaller hook size.
- Ch 1 does not count as first stitch
Hemp Bracelet Crochet Pattern
Row 1: Ch 32, sc in the 2nd ch from hook, sc across (31)
Row 2: ch 1, sc in same st, sc in next sc, now here is where you start your bead process. You are going to sc across, however, when you insert your hook pull bead down (picture is above for reference) pull yarn thru and yarn over like you normally would for an sc. You wanna do this across (31)
Row 3: sc across, ch 4, sc in row 1 (this creates the buttonhole) (31)
F/O sewing in loose ends
- Sew the button at the other end of the hemp. I tightly secured mine with a double know in the back that isn’t seen or too bumpy.
And there you have it! Hemp bracelet crochet pattern!
